You were right, Lisa. I don't think it is the Klonopin that made me feel better...it looks like it is the Paxil. I have been without Klonpin since yesterday morning and I feel just as good as I did with it. I can really tell that the Paxil is kicking in.

Paxil is one of the few that I've tried that actually works. I got convinced a year or so ago that it didn't, so I switched to Wellbutrin and became the worst b**** on earth for 6 months...finally Dee begged me to switch back to Paxil, and two weeks later I was already feeling human. Paula's on Prozac but it's only working so-so for her, I think she's going to ask her doc if she can try Paxil if things don't get a lot better...BUT she did go down to see about finishing school, I was proud of her for that.
Paula is doing a great job and it is hard to just leave everything you know behind and start again the right way. Like you said...she left her friends and life behind to stay away from the drugs. But she knows it is something she HAS to do to stay away from it. I just got my diploma last year...GED. But just as good here as graduating high school..I was proud. Paula knows she has all the chances in the world now and she is going for them....I am three years sober now ( from drugs). I KNOW how hard it is...I wish Paula and you the best...and tell Paula..if she can..if it is available to her...to keep going with her education...to college. Hopefully she won't have to work in a convenience store. Don't get me wrong...I like my job but I wish I could get a REAL career.
